About me
I work in the communications office at Williams College as editorial director. Since 2000, I have been editor of the award-winning Williams Magazine, my primary responsibility. During my time, the magazine, which was redesigned, repositioned and renamed Williams Magazine in 2012—has undergone tremendous changes, including the creation of a separate publication for alumni news (Williams People) in 2005. I am also responsible for curating the college's home page (www.williams.edu), publishing the monthly newsletter Ephnotes, overseeing I Am Williams (iam.williams.edu), a photographic exhibition giving voice to individual identities, and managing the development, writing and editing of nearly all editorial content that passes through the communications office. I am a recovering daily newspaper journalist. I began my career at the Middletown Times Herald-Record and worked at Empire State Report—an independent, monthly news magazine covering politics, policy and government business in NYS—before landing in higher education.
