Dan Zak is a journalist for The Washington Post, where he has covered a variety of local, national and foreign stories, from deadline writing to long-form features. He is the author of a nonfiction book titled "Almighty: Courage, Resistance & Existential Peril in the Nuclear Age," about three peace activists who broke into a weapons site nicknamed "the Fort Knox of Uranium." Since November 2024, he has been focused on editing.
